Thanksgiving is an appropriate time to be thankful for the rich bounty from stocks this year, but it is also a crucial time to consider the “turkey problem.”

Berkshire Hathaway’s $266 billion very concentrated 40 stock portfolio added two new stocks. Warren Buffett was a net seller of stocks for the eight quarters straight.

Stocks and bond yields had a knee-jerk rise after the election, generally followed by some moderation despite some of the results remaining unclear.

This week remains busy on the earnings front with additional likely volatility from the Presential election and the Federal Reserve meeting.

Despite the decline in Berkshire Hathaway’s earnings, there were some positive developments. Warren Buffett sold more Apple, sending its cash hoard above $320 billion.
